Akwa United head coach Kennedy Boboye says he is really impressed with his side’s performance so far this season.

Akwa United was unbeaten in the league for 18 matches, before Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Katsina United.

Despite the defeat, the Promise Keepers are still sitting on the top of the log with 9 games left in the campaign.

“I’m impressed with our achievements so far but we still have a lot of work to do in all our remaining games. We need one hundred percent concentration and focus in each of the remaining ten games. ” He told the club website.

The defeat to Katsina United allowed Nasarawa United to reduce Akwa United’s lead at the top of the table to just a point but will have the chance to reestablish their four points when they host the Solid Miners in Uyo on Sunday

“Every match is important and we have to approach every game with the right mental attitude. We resolved at the beginning of the season to take it one game at a time and it’s been working for us.” Boboye concluded.
