Nigeria’s Super Eagles will be playing its first official game in Lagos, the country’s commercial capital, for the first time in 20 years on Tuesday.
Everton winger Alex Iwobi is expected to feature in the game after being ruled out of the Benin by a faulty COVID-19 test that flagged him as being positive for the virus.
Iwobi was cleared in Lagos and the Confederation of African Football cleared him on Tuesday morning to play against Lesotho in Lagos.
“The good news is that Alex Iwobi has been cleared to play in today’s game against Lesotho and can now help the team finish the qualifiers on a high. His medical clearance has been received from
@CAF_Online & it means he is cleared to play,” the Nigeria Football Federation boss Amaju Pinnick said on Twitter.
The Super Eagles sit atop Group L with 11 eleven points from five games. Lesotho, with three points, will be hoping to earn a shock victory against the three-time AFCON champions.
