FIFA president, Gianni Infantino, has made contact with Liverpool’s owners to congratulate them on the Premier League title.
It is the first time since 1990 that the Anfield outfit has won a league title with Jurgen Klopp leading the Reds to success.
Klopp has been backed by principal owner John W Henry, Reds chairman Tom Werner and Fenway Sports Group president Mike Gordon.
The Liverpool Echo report that Infantino sent a letter addressed to the trio following the confirmation of the title.
The letter, which can be read below, sees the Swiss official ask FSG to relay his words of praise to Klopp, his coaching staff, and the Liverpool squad.
Infantino states Liverpool’s title is “well-deserved” with the speed of which the title has been won in terms of games played is a record.
