Eden Hazard has endured a frustrating time at Real Madrid since leaving Chelsea in 2019

Arsenal has opened negotiations to bring Real Madrid forward Eden Hazard to the Emirates.

The ex-Chelsea attacker, 31, has struggled to make an impact at the Bernabeu since making the £88.5million switch to the Spanish capital.

The Belgian has only made 65 appearances for Los Blancos in a two-and-a-half-year spell in Madrid, scoring on just six occasions.

French media report that the Gunners could offer the two-time Premier League winner a route back to the English top flight.

Hazard is only halfway through a five-year contract with the LaLiga giants but is eager for a fresh start.

Real’s No7 is not part of Carlo Ancelotti’s preferred starting XI, behind Vinicius Junior and Marco Asensio in the pecking order.

Arsenal, meanwhile, is keen on attacking reinforcements with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang having already left for Barcelona and Alexandre Lacazette in the final months of his contract with Mikel Arteta’s side.

Newcastle is set to rival the North Londoners in any bidding race, with former employers Chelsea also monitoring the situation.

Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar is not expected to leave the French capital this summer

Paris Saint-Germain has no intention of selling Neymar, amid rumored interest from Barcelona.

Despite receiving vociferous boos in Sunday’s game against Bordeaux, reports in France claim the Brazilian is also happy to stay at the Parc des Princes.

The 30-year-old is under contract with the Ligue 1 giants until 2025 and is said to be eager to fight once more for European glory next term after a humbling defeat to Real Madrid in this season’s last-16 stage.

Barca has more chance of securing the signature of AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie and Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen, however.

ESPN says the Catalan club will recruit both players on a free transfer this summer.

Finally, Darwin Nunez netted the decisive goal to send Benfica into the Champions League quarter-finals at the expense of Ajax and the Uruguayan remains a key transfer target for West Ham.

The Hammers had a bid for the 22-year-old declined in January but Fabrizio Romano believes the East Londoners will re-start negotiations this summer.
