Wolves will embark on a new era when hosting Crystal Palace at Molineux on Saturday having appointed former player Rob Edwards as the club’s new manager.

Following a dismal start to the season, the home side will be determined to earn a first Premier League win but Palace are difficult opponents for anyone.

Wolves boss Edwards will not be able to call on Rodrigo Gomes for his first game in charge as the Portuguese is out with a groin problem.

Matt Doherty and Leon Chiwome are also sidelined with knee injuries but Emmanuel Agbadou is available for selection after serving a one-match ban following his sending off against Fulham.

Crystal Palace will assess key defender Marc Guehi who is a doubt with a foot injury, while Eddie Nketiah may also miss out with a thigh problem.

Cheick Doucoure and Caleb Kporha are both still absent for the visitors.
