Super Falcons striker, Desire Oparanozie, is hoping to open a new chapter after quitting French Division 1 Féminine side, Guingamp, after six years at the club.

The former Bayelsa and Delta Queens star joined the French outfit from the Turkish side, Ataşehir Belediyespor, in 2014, scoring 45 goals for the club in 106 appearances.

“After six fantastic years playing in France for Guingamp, I won’t be continuing with them for the next season. I will be starting a new chapter,” Oparanozie said in a video message posted on Twitter on Monday.

“I want to use this opportunity to thank the club, the board members, the coaching crew, my teammates, and most importantly the fans. Thank you for those amazing years,” she added.

In reply, Guingamp tweeted, “We’ll miss you Oparanozie. Thanks for your smile and all the amazing goals. Good luck with your new challenge.”

Oparanozie’s destination is still unknown but she promised to keep fans updated on her next career move.

“For my real fans, I know the question is where next? I will be updating you soon,” she said.
